Junin single origin coffee has a medium body, tropical flavors, and notes of chocolate and fruit. The coffee's unique flavor profile comes from the region's microclimate, altitude, and soil conditions.


Flavor profile
- Tropical: Juicy, vibrant flavors of mango, passionfruit, and papaya
- Chocolate: Smooth, chocolaty cup profile with nutty accents
- Fruit: Notes of cherry and berry
- Meringue: Sweet meringue notes
Body
- Medium body that allows the natural flavors to shine.
- A little fuller bodied and smooth.
Acidity
- Fairly low acidity, only detectable at the lighter roast points.
- Medium to low acidity, reduces the darker you roast.
Growing conditions
- Grown in the Central Highlands of Peru at altitudes as high as 6,000 feet
- Nourished by ideal microclimates that straddle rainy jungles and dry mountains
- Coffee cherries in Junín mature slowly, developing complex flavors
Processing
- Naturally processed coffee, whereby the cherries are allowed to dry and ferment in their «natural» state
